Betty never frets over homework or any other problem that might bother most seniors. Affable and gracious, she wins friends easily. Knowing Betty was a pleasure; Bapst should have more like her.

Married Jim Gerding

Soon after graduating from Mercy Hospital in Portland, Jim & I married and moved to Dayton, Ohio. We spent four years there and then settled in Framingham, MA. There we raised our six children; three sons and three daughters

Life was busy, hectic and wonderful. Still I had time to further my education and earned a degree in Education.

I taught special needs children for ten years, eventually ended up teaching Nursing Education for the next fifteen years.

Soon after Jim Died I moved back to Maine. My Mom, 90 years old, was living alone and we have enjoyed these years together.

My "Retirement" job was as Front Desk at a seaside resort in Kennebunkport, ME.

I have recently moved to Newcastle, ME.; to my "Grandma" house.

My 12 grandchildren are loving it!

Never one to completely "leave" school ... am currently studying for my Masters in Theology.

I enjoy my Family, Gardening, and Duplicate Bridge among other things.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the 50th!
